P.S.G Ponnammaal College of Nursing was started as a unit of PSGP Trust. Initially the trust started the college of Education and Polytechnic College. After gaining adequate experience in running educational Institutions, the College of Nursing was started. The College of Nursing was established at Goundampalayam in wide area of 16.42 acres of land. The environment is more conducive for all round development of the personality of students. Since the college is located on the Trichy- Coimbatore highway, plenty of Transport facilities are available between Kangayam, Erode, Dharapuram, Vellakovil, Coimbatore and Tiruppur

The College is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Tamilnadu Nurses and Midwives Council. It is also approved by Tamilnadu Government and affiliated to The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai.
